Publication Ethics of BIP
Ethical Guideline
Berkala Ilmiah Pertanian Journal (BIP) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jember. The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including the editor, reviewers, and authors. However, we didn't accpect double submission article. in the case we find the same manuscript submitted to another journal platform, BIP will decide to reject that and block all of the writers et least for 3 years
Publication Decisions
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely based on their intellectual content without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. All submissions are treated fairly and objectively throughout the editorial and peer-review process.
Fair Play
An editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editor and editorial team of BIP will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the express written consent of the author.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
BIP Editors will not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research purposes. Any potential conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the manuscripts must be declared. Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
Duties of Reviewers
BIP Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback. Reviewers are expected to:
Conduct reviews objectively and express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Maintain confidentiality of all manuscripts received for review and not use the information for personal advantage.
Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
Declare any conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.
Duties of Authors
BIP Authors are responsible for presenting accurate and original research. Specifically, authors should:
Ensure that the manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
Properly acknowledge the work of others and cite relevant sources.
Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and redundant publication.
Include only those who have made significant contributions as authors.
Disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may influence the research results or interpretation.
Notify the editor promptly if a significant error is discovered in the published work and cooperate in retracting or correcting the paper.
